The project will build and maintain a 16 km winter multi-use pathway, situated on the bank of the Ottawa River.
Running along the Sir A Macdonald river parkway, it will be free, and easily accessible for walkers, skiers, bikers and showshoers.
The project is a collaboration between Dovercourt Recreation Association, the National Capital Commission (NCC) and the Westboro Beach Community Association.
The Sir John A. Macdonald Winter Trail runs along the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway from the Canadian War Museum to Westboro Beach.
