Geo-Time Trail
City: WaterlooRegion: Huron, Perth, Waterloo and Wellington
The trail follows the division and reunion of the Conestogo River entering St. Jacobs from the west. It dates back several generations and is know as "Lovers Lane". Built in the 1850's, the Snyder Flour Mill was the first mill in St. Jacobs. Water, diverted from the Conestogo River via a long millrace, supplied energy to operate the mill. Today the millrace still exists and is the focal point of a pleasant riverside trail. The trail, which commences at the mill, is literally on the edge of the millrace and is level for its entire two kilometre length.
