Murphys Point - Rideau Trail
Overview
This part of the trail starts at Upper Rideau Lake. There is a good beach with a dressing hut and toilets available, along the path the Trail crosses a stream and ascends a steep hill. In the spring trilliums, Duthchman's breeches and columbines can be found on the rocks. The trail passes through mixed woods with sumac bushes before emerging into a field where,off the Trail to the right, an escarpment overlooks the lake.
Towards the end of this section of the trail joins a cottage road in Murphys Point Provincial park. It turns right along this road and after 1...
