Charleston Lake Provincial Park
Learn about the cultural and geological history of the park as you hike past rock shelters used by native people over 2,000 years ago and the foundations of the pioneer homesteads. This trail features a lookout over Charleston Lake.
Indigenous people once sheltered under rock overhangs on the shores of this coldwater lake north of the St. Lawrence River. Then wealthy Victorian cottagers summered here. The rugged look of the north blended with the south still draws hikers and canoeists to these scenic shores and winding trails.
