You start walking the Marsh Boardwalk Trail on a bark-chipped surface and immediately enter an area of tall and mature white cedar trees creating a dense tree canopy. Soon you arrive at the boardwalk and begin walking through tall cattails and ferns on both sides of the boardwalk.
The cattails are so tall that it is impossible to see over them, but it is possible to see wildlife such as frogs, turtles, red-winged blackbirds and american bitterns. While on the boardwalk, take a few minutes to listen and observe quietly. It is amazing what you will see such as ducks and...
