Opeongo Heritage Trail
Overview
A 7 km circular trail to the pretty First Baptist Church and an old cart track flanked by cedar and stone fences. There are sweeping views of the Bonnechere Valley and Madawaska Highlands, and Eastern Bluebirds if lucky, as you wind your way towards and along the historic Opeongo Road.
Follow Hwy 41 south from Eganville for 20 km and turn right onto the Opeongo Rd. Drive along the Opeongo Rd (Cty Rd 64) for 17 km, through Esmonde and Clontarf, until you come to St John's Lutheran Church on the right. Park just past the church...
